Course Overview

Duration: Typically 6 – 12 months

This course is aimed at middle managers who are aspiring to become senior managers, as it will improve personal management capabilities through effective decision-making and strategic leadership. This extensive qualification will provide the key skills and competencies that students need to become the manager they want to be.

This course is available to sign-up to continually throughout the year, and can be studied in isolation or with one of our many other online commercial courses. This approach allows our students to gain a robust and industry recognised CMI qualification, along with a multitude of other skills and knowledge to suit their job role or industry.

Membership

If an individual is not already a CMI member at the time of registering on this qualification, they will be provided with free Affiliate membership of the CMI through until the completion of their studies.

How long will it take?

The course will last between 6 – 12 months.

Who is it suitable for?

This course is ideal for middle managers who are aspiring to become senior managers. It will allow students to develop their knowledge of roles and responsibilities of a manager by focusing on specific skill areas.

What does it include?

What will be studied?

To achieve this qualification, students must complete a minimum of 41 credits. This includes 5 mandatory units and range of optional units.

Mandatory units include;

  • Managing organisational culture
  • Ethical organisational management
  • Planning a change process
  • Leading equality and diversity
  • Personal development as a strategic manager.

Examples of optional units include;

  • Managing ideas and innovation
  • Developing and managing networks
  • Strategic leadership.

How can you fund this course?

This  cost of this course is £2,000 and we have different payment methods available to help pay for this course.

  • This route will allow students or employers to just study the diploma or corporate training package on a commercial basis. We will invoice the student or business for the cost of the course and they will pay us directly

  • Through a DEKO Student Loan, students are able to fund this course themselves.

    This is administrated through our online loan application, so applicants can decide on what deposit they want to pay and how long they want to take the loan out over.

    0% interest is available for some of these loans. Once approved, they will complete the online application to get started on their course.

    However, the bolt-on options are not fundable via this route and will need to be paid for commercially by the individual.
